However, there are few exercises that should be avoided when suffering from certain health challenges and conditions. Many people inquire, ‘is jumping rope bad for scoliosis?’ The answer to this question is yes, jumping rope is bad for scoliosis! Scoliosis is a back condition that does now permit a person to do a lot of physical movement. There are certain movements that should be definitely avoided by people suffering from scoliosis. One of the exercises that are not allowed at all is jumping rope. There is a major impact on both the feet and the back once you land on the floor as you jump rope. It is proved by professionals and experts that jumping rope is bad for scoliosis as it can also lead to deformity of shape. It can cause spine curvature and postural collapse. Scoliosis can happen to children as well and as they are constantly playing, one must keep surveillance on them. With jumping rope, the spine tends to compress a lot with every jump and landing. It is not recommended to a scoliosis patient; young or adult at all.

Instead, exercises that have very soft movements should be performed but only if permitted by the professional. It is very important to know that if a person has scoliosis, there will be situation where the capability of lungs to function smoothly also reduces. There is a high chance that if the scoliosis is very server or extreme, it can lead to less years to your life. Along with lower lung functionality, the heart condition can also get very poor. In order to be safe from all these problems, worsening scoliosis by jumping rope is certainly not a wise idea. The family members of the person with scoliosis must also take care of these few things.
