  1. Do Your Body Really Need Supplements To Stay Healthy? Over the countries the popularity of the health supplements is record-breaking- more than half of the US citizens consume dietary supplements to fill the nutrient or vitamin gap that left unfilled by their daily diet. Adults who are above the age of 40 contribute a big chunk in the overall sales of dietary supplements sales. In fact, in a survey performed on 3500, it was found that almost 70% of the adults' ages of 60 take supplements with daily diet, 50% of people take two supplements at least and only 30% of people take more than 4 supplements. This survey forced people to think if supplements are the only way to stay healthy?

  2. Supplement- a friend or foe? As we mentioned in our previous blog post “What Is Right- Nutrients from The Plate or The Pill?” supplements are not the substitute of the balanced meal. But when taken with the proper meals they can benefit the body in various ways including: They treat the nutrient deficiency They reduce the risk of chronic diseases They reduce the risk of mental diseases They help to maintain the good cholesterol level in the body They remove toxins from the body

  3. Now, the only thing that brings the supplements on the bad side of the road is there is limited evidence that they provide significant health benefits. Plus, they are not regulated by the FDA. But it is not all bad news, some research shows that Omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin B may reduce the risk of stroke. When consulted by the physician, dietary supplements can indeed promote health and wellness.
