  1. Beta Club MeetingDecember 7, 2010 Please have a seat at a table. Take down the chairs so that others can see. You can leave them down when you leave. Pass your attendance pages to the back of your table. Leigh Anne T will be signing your attendance during the meeting. Be sure that your name is on the page.

  5. ATTENDANCE SHEETS • IF YOU FORGOT YOUR ATTENDANCE SHEET, SEE LEIGH ANNE TUCK AFTER THE MEETING TO SIGN IN. • YOU’LL HAVE TO BRING YOUR SHEET TO MRS. TARVIN’S ROOM TO GET OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE CREDIT.

Service Opportunities • Teacher Recognition Breakfast: • DATE: WED, DEC. 15 AT 7:30 AM IN THE TEACHER DINING HALL • IF YOU’D LIKE TO EARN 1 HOUR OF SERVICE FOR BRINGING A HOMEMADE DISH OR ½ HOUR OF SERVICE FOR BRINGING A STORE BOUGHT DISH, PLEASE SIGN UP WITH KAYLA BROOKS AFTER THE MEETING. • FOOD WILL NEED TO BE DELIVERED TO THE TEACHER DINING HALL BY 7:15 AM ON WED.

  7. Service Opportunities • KRISPY KREME DONUT SALES: Meet at 7:45 am outside of Admin II. • Earn 1/2 hour of credit. • Seeking as many funny, loud kids as possible! • DECEMBER DATE: 12/15 • Sign-up outside Mrs. Dau (120) or Mrs. Tarvin (418) room

Service Opportunities • Shane’s BBQ Dinner Fundraiser: Members will help to publicize a specific night that Shane’s will donate 15% of all profits to Relay for Life. • NEXT DATE: Monday, December 13 • HAVING AN EXAM STUDY SESSION? Consider meeting at Shane’s on Monday night with your classmates. • Sign-making party in Mrs. Tarvin’s room TODAY after the meeting.

  9. Service Opportunities • Hayes Elementary School “Holiday Breakfast” • December 11th from 7:30 am to noon • Announcement from Shelby Strickland • No need for costumes now. 8-) • A message was sent last night. Please reply to this message if you plan on attending and include the hours.

  10. Service Opportunities • BEARS FOR KIDS IN CRISIS – • WHEN KIDS ARE INVOLVED IN ACCIDENTS OR SCARY SITUATIONS, POLICE OFFICERS AND FIRE FIGHTERS COMFORT THEM BY GIVING THEM A STUFFED ANIMAL. CHILDREN ARE CALMED AS THEY CUDDLE THE STUFFED ANIMAL. THE KIDS GET TO KEEP THE NEW TOY. • IF YOU DID NOT BRING A TOY TO STUFF THE BUS, THEN YOU’LL NEED TO BRING A STUFFED ANIMAL TO MRS. TARVIN’S ROOM BEFORE THE DECEMBER BREAK. • OTHERS ARE WELCOME, TOO.

  11. Service Opportunities • NEW MEMBER INDUCTION: • THURSDAY, JANUARY 6 AT 7 PM IN THE THEATER • MAJOR CHANGE: CEREMONY IS MANDATORY TO BECOME A CLUB MEMBER. • “OLD MEMBERS” ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND TO BUILD A SENSE OF UNITY. • VOLUNTEERS: Meet at 6:15 pm outside of the theater.

  12. SERVICE OPPORTUNITY • MUST MINISTRIES BOOK DRIVE • BRING A NEW OR USED BOOK TO MRS. TARVIN’S ROOM BY NEXT WEDNESDAY TO RECEIVE ½ CREDIT/BOOK. TEEN BOOKS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED. • MUST MINISTRIES STOCKING STUFFERS • SMALL ITEMS: NAIL POLISH, BODY WASH, SOCKS, MAKE-UP, KEY CHAIN, CANDY, ETC. • BRING THEM TO MRS. TARVIN’S ROOM BY WEDNESDAY TO RECEIVE ½ CREDIT FOR EVERY TWO ITEMS.

  13. Relay for Life T-Shirt Sales • Every team at the Relay will have matching team t-shirts. • Harrison’s team has a theme “Bringing the Troops to Fight Cancer,” and we’ll be wearing t-shirts with the following design. • The shirts will cost $10, and all profit goes to the American Cancer Society. • If you’d like to help promote or sell the shirts, please see Megan Koebbe or Alexis Ryan after the meeting.

  15. Relay for Life Walking Shifts • Friday, May 6, 2011 • 7 pm to 7 am • All members are required to attend for at least one hour. You are invited to stay the entire time. • If you’d like to sign up for a shift today, see Hannah Lyons and Jamie Newton after the meeting.
