  1. Vol. 5 Yr. 2 See what’s happening at Lacey’s Spring School with … December 2012 Wow!!! What a blur this school year has been!?! It is already half way completed. I wanted to take the time to let you know some of the activities that the PTO will be involved in during the January timeframe. Our annual Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough fundraiser will begin at the end of January. We will have more on this as it approaches. Also, in light of the tragedy that occurred in Connecticut, the PTO have asked the question of what can we do to help make our children safer while at school. We are working with Mr. Alexander and the county to determine ways in which we can all make the school a safer place to be. Please remember the families in Connecticut in your prayers. I am sure they need them. And as always, thank you for your support of our school! ---LS PTO Officers “The educated differ from the uneducated as much as the living differ from the dead.”~ Aristotle • A Note from the Principal, • Mr. Lane Alexander • Hello to everyone, • I want to take this time to thank our PTO for the outstanding job they are doing for our school !! We appreciate also the efforts of our teachers, parents, and students in the fundraising that has been done thus far. • The first semester has quickly wound down and we want our students to come back refreshed and ready to excel in their studies. So please encourage your children in their studies and their attendance. • Let me remind you to come out and support our basketball teams in their remaining games. GO EAGLES !! • I hope you have a happy and safe holiday season ! To begin with, I would like to express my appreciation for the support that has been given to the PTO towards the fundraising activities we have completed. As I stated in our previous newsletter, the PTO was able to cover the majority of the budget items he have for this year. This could not have happened without your support. However, we do have some things that have been discussed in helping the school with over and above the budget items. The majority of the schools computers are run down and out dated. It is our goal to be able to upgrade each of the teachers computers that are needed. In the next couple of weeks, we will be kicking off our winter fundraiser of Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough. This was a great fundraiser for us last year. Please join me in our Cookie Dough for Computers fund-drive.
