  14. How will we use IMPACT? • Technical Coordination in discussion with RP will decide which works will require specific IMPACTS to be created. • 1 IMPACT will be created for a job involving several disciplines. • Routine works/maintenance/visits etc. will be covered by 1 “generic” IMPACT per discipline. • Everyone MUST know their IMPACT number to be able to access the SPS. • Specific IMPACTS will only be created 1 month before the planned start of the works. • RP will present a more detailed presentation of the new RP access procedure in the next planning meeting. SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  15. Use of the Tractors in the SPS. Dear group leaders, A simple test of driving aptitude will be requested from personnel that is going to use the electrical tractors in the SPS and LHC tunnels. It is a test, not a training. The test can be made every Monday morning; it is organised jointly by DGS-SEE and EN-HE; the latter providing the infrastructure. The driving agreement signed by the test supervisor is required to be allowed to use the tractors. The persons in need to do the test should be inscribed with Isabelle Cusato, DGS-SEE. The test is overseen by ‘Force’, a company under contract with DGS-SEE. Each person should need only a short while to pass the test. In case of questions you are welcome to contact either Francois Angerand, DGS-SEE or me. DGS- SEE will inform the other departments via their DSOs. Best regards, John (See attached files) SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch

  19. A.O.B. Hi David, On 18 December an old but activated florescent light fitting was found in a skip at BA7, it must have come out of the machine just before this date, do you have any record of works in the area? I would like to remind the team responsible that everything must be checked in the buffer zones. Thanks for any information you can give me, Cheers, Steve (See attached PDF file) SPS.Technical-Coordination@Cern.ch
