  3. WHAT CAN YOU DO?

  4. INCREASE JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP in ALL UNITS

  5. Organize an Active Juniors group • Encourage Auxiliary and Legion Members to sign-up Eligible Decendents • Include Information on • Junior Membership • Post a Facebook update after Junior event

  6. ENGAGE JUNIORS in PROGRAMS of the AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

  7. Include Juniors in ALL of your Unit functions • Make Meetings Fun and Inviting • Teach Juniors to “Lead the Way” • Recognize and Applaud Achievements • Make Juniors Honorary Committee Members – Pair them with Senior Chairmen for Mentoring • Ask older Juniors to assist with Social Media

  8. ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION in SERVICE PROJECTS : Legionnaires Veterans / Military Community

  9. Host a Daddy/Grandpa and Me Dance • Sponsor and Plan • PROJECTS: “Cookie Pack” “Ditty Bags” • Encourage Juniors to Volunteer: • Operation Military Kids • VA Medical Centers

  10. PROMOTE and ENCOURAGE JUNIOR PARTICIPATION in the PATCH PROGRAM

  11. Encourage Juniors to Participate • in the Patch program • Encourage • Electronic Patches on • Juniors’ Social Media sites • Provide opportunities for Juniors • to work on Patch requirements

  12. INCREASE AWARENESS of the CHILDREN of WARRIORS NATIONAL PRESIDENTS’ SCHOLARSHIP

  13. Scholarship to Juniors members, Legion Family members, Schools and Community • Post Information on your Social Media sites • Distribute Scholarship Applications • Inform Members about • the Scholarship, Rules and • Application Requirements

  16. WHEN IS JUNIORS ACTIVITIES REPORTING DUE?

  17. MID-YEAR REPORTS Each District Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Narrative Report by DECEMBER 1st to the Department Chairman. YEAR END REPORTS Each Unit Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Year End Report by APRIL 15th to the District Chairman. Each District Chairman is REQUIRED to submit a Year End Report by MAY 1st to the Department Chairman.
