Who I Am. • I was a Viking who was born in Jaren, Norway in 950. • I died sometime during 1003-1004. • I was banned from Iceland in 982 after various killings. • My goal was to sail the waters of Iceland. • I was the first Viking to colonize Greenland. • I was married to Thjodhild. • Lief Eriksson is my son.

  3. Why I Was Important I Discovered Greenland. I decided to go during his banishment from Iceland. I Conquered Ericsfjord. I brought Christianity to the Icelandic people.

  4. What impact did I have on the world? I made people move to Greenland because I exclaimed that there was plants. My people thought Greenland was better than Iceland because of the “GREEN” in Greenland. I was amazing for changing the wonderful religion. I also founded Greenland.

  5. How Did I Travel? I traveled by ship while sailing the waters of Iceland. I also traveled by foot while exploring Greenland. One weather condition during my exploration was the harsh wind and blizzards near Iceland. My crew wanted to turn back because they thought I wouldn’t make it. The worst part of the journey was all the sicknesses that spread.

  6. When and Where I Made My Journey! • In the year of 982 I sailed the waters of Iceland. • Through the 3 years gone I explored Greenland. • I left in 982. • I got to Greenland in 985. • I went back to Iceland in 985.

  7. OTHER INTERESTING FACTS!!!!!!!!!!! • My name was Eric Thorvaldsen. • One of my sons was an explorer. • I murdered 2 men. • I was banned for 3 years. • I was also active in the 10th century. • I was born in Norway.
