  1. English 10 - 1/10/11 • What is your stand on the issue that you have selected for the CBA? Why do you feel that way? • What do you get when you eat onions and Beans? • Doit – a trifle. This word occassionally show up in crossword puzzles. • Goals - Complete check daily work, 12/6-10. Create works Cited page for the CBA. • Homework – Finish works cited page. I will be assigning points in class.

  2. English 10 - 1/11/11 • What ways could you capture the readers’ attention in your hook? What would work for this CBA? • Where does satisfaction come from? • Gry – an old, little used word for anything of little value; for instance, nail clippings. • Goals - Complete check daily work, 1/3-1/7. Evaluate opening paragraphs from sample essays. Create hooks related to your research topic. • Homework – Write three possible hooks to share with class tomorrow. I will be assigning points in class.

  3. English 10 - 1/12/11 • What do you think should be done about your issue? What possible solutions have you come up with? • Did you hear about the marriage between the two antennas? • Punk hit – a short hit. • Goals - Work on closing paragraph and link to hook. • Homework – Write a link to each of the hooks you did last night. Put them on the same document and do a “save as.”

English 10 - 1/13/11 • Would you give up television for five years if it would feed 1000 starving children? • What do you say to a hitchhiker with one leg? • Punk stuff – something useless or contemptable. • Goals - Complete intro and closing paragraphs begin Body paragraphs. • Homework – Get your intro paragraph with hook and closing paragraph with link into the computer. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary #18

  5. English 10 - 1/14/11 • Five minutes to study for quiz #18. • How do you get down from an elephant? • Punk ride – a little kiddie ride at the carnival. • Goals - Complete vocabualry #18 quiz. Turn in first draft of CBA essay. Work on transitions. • Homework – Have a great weekend!
