  3. Tuesday 1/11/11Learning Goals: SWBAT1. Review 2.1.2. Read, dramatize and summarize Act Two, scene 2 Do Now: Agenda: Do Now Continue reviewing 2.1 (film) Read 2.2 Dramatize! (Create tableaus in groups using character cards) • Directions: Answer in at least three complete sentences! Refer to your books/notes if you need to. • Describe Caliban. What do we know about him so far? Homework: Read Act 3, scene 1 and complete the summary chart. Act 2 quiz on Thursday

Act Two Tableaus LG/SWBAT: Read, dramatize and summarize Act Two, scene 2 Overview: For this review activity you will be working in groups of four to create a tableau (non-moving, non-speaking, human sculpture) that represents the actions of the characters of the play in act 2. Instructions: • Choose one group members’ character cards. • Shuffle the cards and have each group member blindly, randomly draw a card. • Each group member reads his/her line and chooses a pose that reflects the meaning of the line and the actions of the character on his/her card. • Arrange yourself in your positions in a group (clump) • Each group will present their tableau and discuss their tableau with the class.

  5. Homework: Due Wednesday 1/12/11 (or Thursday if there is a snow day) Read 3.1 and then complete the following summary chart. Add a line to your character cards for the characters you list in the first row of the chart below.
