  1. Annual Sports Day St. Joseph’s Public School King Koti, Hyderabad 9th – 10th Feb’2013

Motive & Perspective of the Sports Day • St. Joseph’s Public School believes in giving holistic education to pupils for their all round development. • To break the monotony of studies the Management decided to host the Annual Sports Day to give the children an opportunity to excel in the field of sports. • To play a game its important to be a good sportsman. The children learn the basics from the adults around them who serve as role models. Real winners in sports are those who know how to preserve and behave with dignity irrespective whether they win or lose a game. • This spirit of sportsmanship was inculcated and many students were given a chance to showcase their talents.

  3. Venue for the Sports Day • The United Celebration of the Annual Sports Day of St. Joseph’s Public School & St. Joseph’s High School was celebrated on the 9th and 10th of February 2013 at Gachibowli Stadium with pomp & gaiety

  4. Guests of Honour • We were honored to have with us Mr. V.V Lakshmi Narayana, IPS, Joint Director, Anti Corruption Zone, CBI and Mr. Rajiv Trivedi, Additional Director General of Police (sports) AP as our Chief Guests. Their presence on the occasion was highly appreciated.

  5. Inauguration • The mega event started off with the hoisting of the school sports flag by the guest of honor, accompanied by our Secretary and Principal, Mr. U. G. Reddy and our Vice Principal, Mr. U. Lourdu Reddy.

  6. Lighting of the torch • The spark of success was lighted by the chief guest and the embers of the flame will keep burning, spreading its light towards victory.

  7. The Quartet March-Past • The four groups namely the Blue bells, the Green Orchids, the Red Roses, the Yellow daffodils and also the NCC Cadets took the grand salute of the chief guests during the march past

  8. Invocation • The programme commenced with a melodious prayer song sung by the senior choir, seeking God’s blessing, spreading the message of unity and peace. • The traditional welcome dance ‘Subhaswagatham’ left the spectators spell bound & enthralled them with their graceful performance.

  9. Events & Displays • Students of all ages i.e. from class P1 to class XII participated in the various events organized. Apart from track events beautiful displays were also planned. • The tiny tots were exceptionally good and performed the display with great energy & enthusiasm.

  10. Track Events • The various track events like 100mts run ,100mts relay, 400mts relay etc were organized to encourage all the talented sports stars to carve a niche for themselves. Loud cheers from the audience boosted their morale to perform professionally

  11. Displays • The colourful displays like aerobic display, elastic flexi display, waves of freedom, splash of colours, blooming sunflowers, dandiya display, galaxy of stars and bharateeyam were sensational and exhibited perfect synchronization. • To top it all torch display performed by senior students was the highlight of the event

  12. Teacher’s Competitions • The teachers were also given an opportunity to prove their talents. They left no stone unturned and participated in all the competitions.

  13. Valedictory Ceremony • As it is truly said that sportsman spirit is that its not that you won or lost that is important, but how you played the game is what that counts. The most important thing is not winning but taking part. • Needless to say that the participants clearly showed their true sportsmanship spirit through out the events.

  14. Award Ceremony • The students talents were appreciated and prizes were distributed to enhance and inculcate the competitive spirit.

  15. Gold Medalists • The school toppers for the academic year 2011-2012 were awarded with gold medals for their academic excellence.

  16. Mixed March-Past • The whole sports day was celebrated with great fervor and grandeur and terminated with a royal march-past by all the staff members. They held the flag high and are striving hard to maintain the standards of this prestigious institution.

  17. The Supportive Strength • The whole credit can only be attributed to our Secretary and Principal Mr. U. G. Reddy & our Vice Principal Mr. U. Lourdu Reddy for their dynamic administration and involvement .

  18. United We Stand • The pillar behind the whole event is the hard work of our head mistress Ms. kalyani chary , collective effort of the staff members and a special credit to the entire sports department, specially Mr. Bhagwati Rao & Mr. Anthony Reddy for their meticulous planning.
