  1. Sports Day at Kaka Street

  2. You will need: Balloon Noodle Bungee cord Soccer ball Flags Net Baton or stick Medals x 8 Trophy

  3. It was the day of the big sports’ day at Kaka Street School. All the students in room 1 were competing in different events and were very excited. If the students in room 1 won their events they could get a medal and if room 1 beat all the other classes, room 1 could win the KAKA STREET TROPHY!!

  4. Luca was in the first event of the day, Balloon Hockey. Luca had to hit the balloon with a noodle into the net to score a goal. He scored his goal and won a medal!!!

  5. Charlie-Anne was in the 2nd event of the day The Tug of War She had to pull the bungee as hard as she could to beat Sage. Charlie-Anne pulled and pulled and won her event. She was very pleased to get her medal.

  6. Bryn was in the 3rd event of the day, Wheelchair soccer He had to score a goal passed Barrie the goal keeper more times than Ezra from room 2. Ezra scored 4 goals but Bryn scored 5. Yeah!! Bryn won and was very proud of his medal.

  7. Java was in the 4th event of the day Powerchair racing Java and Nathan had a race across the playground. Everyone in room 1 was waving flags and cheering for Java. Java was very excited when he beat Nathan and received his medal.

  8. Joshua was in the 5th event of the day The obstacle course He had to go under a big net in the park and come out the other side before Jacob from room 4. Joshua was very quick and beat Jacob to get his medal.

  9. The 6th and last event of the day was the relay race. Hine, Tegan and Areeb were the room 1 team against the 3 boys from Te Puke. They had to pass the baton to each other when they finished their leg of the race and NOT drop it.

  10. If Hine, Areeb and Tegan win their race, Room 1 would win the Kaka Street Trophy. It was very close but Areeb was just faster than Devon (thanks to Rosie’s running) and Hine, Tegan and Areeb all got a medal.

  11. At the end of the day it was time to present the Kaka Street Trophy. And the winners are ROOM 1!!!! Horray!
