  1. Coins for Cuteness was formed by Pine Road second graders: Alesandra, Angelina, Julie, Nina and Mia in the hopes of helping sick kids and their families. The group chose to support Ronald McDonald House to help sick kids whose families live far away from the hospital where they are receiving treatment. • Collection boxes will be distributed to each classroom and donations accepted between June 9 through 17th. • Please consider donating to help the Ronald McDonald House charity. Any amount is appreciated. • Ronald McDonald House • The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of seriously ill children by offering families a close place to stay while their child is in the hospital • It was started by a Dr. Audrey Evans, a Doctor at Children’s Hospital, The Philadelphia Eagles and McDonalds Corp on October 15, 1974 • Ronald McDonald House has 2 locations in Philadelphia that help families with sick children • Children’s Hospital • St. Christopher’s Hospital • There are 300 Ronald McDonald houses all over the world helping families with sick kids • The goal of Ronald McDonald House is to make difficult time just a little easier for a family with a seriously ill child by: • Providing a safe place to sleep, home cooked meals and transportation • With your help, we can make sure that no family • needs to worry whether they can stay together • when their child is sick.
