  2. Long-term Goal • Adopt 21st century teaching to enhance students’ interest in the topic & the subject.

  3. Short-term Goals • Change my questioning strategies with students to promote critical thinking • Focus on encouraging students instead of praising • Encourage collaboration among students • Help students understand that they can use each other as

Instructional Strategies & Tasks • I will provide more opportunities for the students to answer questions that require higher order thinking • I will provide students with time for group dicussion • I will ask questions that require students to explain how they came to an answer • I will allow students to gather in randomly assigned groups or pairs to discuss how to give the best & the most precise answer to the questions.

Solutions to Anticipated Challenges Challenges Solutions • I do not own a PC. • Parents may not understand my method. • Some students may not want to work in a group together. • I will ask my Principal to provide at least one computer in each department. • I will use my new MS Word skills to inform parents about my teaching strategies. • I will make random groups of students to work together.
