  1. Carbon MWNT supported Pt catalysts; X. Wang, N. Li, L. Pfefferle, G. Haller Yale University, Department of Chemical Engineering. • Carbon Multiwalled nanotubes (MWNT) allow stabilization of nm-sized Pt or Co particles for catalytic applications. • Binding energy changes for Pt particles inside (blue) and outside (red) the MWNT. Pt metal foil reference in black (see figure below). • This allows tuning of catalytic reactivity and selectivity (e.g. Wang et al. 2010). 2-5nm Pt particles outside MWNT (left) And inside MWNT (right) X.
