  4. FAIS Fuel WISL FAIS Fuel provides the facility to maintain fuel surcharge tables with the capability to override by customer. It also provides for the calculation of the surcharge given the relevant shipment specifics and to include it in the billing/rating interface.

  5. There are a variety of arrangements between carrier and shipper to handle the calculation of an appropriate fuel surcharge. Industry wide tables may be utilized directly. The industry wide tables may be used as a basis for the determination of a charge along with further considerations. Tables specific to a given customer may form the basis for generating the fuel surcharge in some cases. Regardless of the mechanism employed the determination is date dependant. The data(calculation parameters) must be variable by date range to correspond to the periodic variations in fuel costs. Left Click to Continue

  6. The facilities of WISL FAIS Fuel include the capability to import and maintain industry standard fuel surcharge tables along with the capability to maintain arrangements based on industry tables and tables specific to certain shippers.
