Present Situation Visitor arrivals in past 6 years grew at annual rate of 9.5% Arrival volume is expected to expand at an average of 10% per annum to hit 6 million by 2016 Arrival count as of July 2010 posted 14% growth totalling to 2.039 million Korea bounces back as the top source market with growth rate of 35% and arrival share of 20%

Present Situation Despite economic recession, arrivals from the USA increased by 2% for a market share of 18% Arrivals from China and Taiwan remained robust with growths of 30% and 28%, respectively Australia, ASEAN, Russia, and Scandinavian markets continue to post double digit growth in 2010

Applicable skills and information acquired historical conservation and preservation, value and appreciation of culture “third sector “ approach acquired first hand information from people involved (government officials, curators, business owners) data management at the local level green tourism commitment of Stakeholders to promote their product distinctive features of tourism product per town/municipality that compliments each other

OBJECTIVES • To instill pride among our people on the rich history, cultural, national heritage and ecology • To conserve, protect and enhance sustainability of tourism programs • To optimize economic benefits thus enhancing the quality of life • To cater to every tourist and traveler and give them the experience worth their money

  9. AP (2011-2016) Establishment of network with foreign entities like city/village sisterhood Tourism Development Planning Adopt a community based-tourism Monitoring and Evaluation Conduct of tourism related researches
