  3. Set Up Lessons Learned • Clearing and Unapplied Accounts • Detail Codes and FOAPAL’s • Priority Codes • Deposit and Payment Codes

  4. Go-Live Lessons Learned • How much historical data do you need? • Once data is converted, reconcile Accounts Receivable in the Legacy system to Accounts Receivable in the Banner system. • Work closely with the Finance, Financial Aid and Student (Registrar) Modules. • TEST, TEST, TEST. • Once set up is complete begin to review reporting needs.

  5. Go-Live Lessons Learned • Application of Payments • Late Fees & Finance Charges • Account Holds

  6. Process Change Advantages • AR controls the Fee Assessment Rules (tuition, room and board). • Decentralized Billing of charges and fines: a. Registrar’s Office b. Residential Life Office c. Dining Services d. Public Safety e. Library f. Global Education g. Conference Office h. Admissions

  7. Future Implementations • Portal – Fall 2007 • E-Billing – Spring 2008
