M&A • 2007 • January: NYSE and 3 big players, including Goldman Sachs, paid US$ 460 mm to buy the National Stock Exchange of Índia • May: Nasdaq acquires OMX • April: Deutsche Börse acquires, through Eurex (an association between DB and Swiss SE), the American International Securities Exchange (ISE) for US$ 2,8 mm, creating the biggest transatlantic derivatives market in the world • June: LSE and BorsaItaliana announce merger • July: CME and CBOT complete merger • October: After the approval of the shareholders in august 8th, LSE and BorsaItaliana complete merger • 2008 • January: BM&F and CME conclude cross-investment agreement • February: BOVESPA and BM&F announce discussions on merger. NASDAQ acquires OMX and creates the NASDAQ OMX Group • March: CME announces acquisition of NYMEX • October: Merger between DTCC and LCH.Clearnet

M&A • 2009 • May: Consortium led by ICAP makes a new bid for LCH.Clearnet, which had already been done at the beginning of February • December: LSE and global investment banks acquire Turquoise and Baikal to create a pan-European trading venture • 2010 • June: Citadel acquires majority participation on Equiduct • June: CETIP and Clearstream sign an agreement to distribute tri-party collateral management services • July: Nasdaq OMX acquires SMARTS • August: DTCC agreed to acquire 10% of DCV in an agreement of cooperation

M&A • 2010 • October: Singapore and Australian exchanges unveil a $7.8bn merger plan • November: The Santiago Exchange (Chile), The Colombia Exchange and the Lima Exchange (Peru), together with the respective deposits of each country: DCV, Deceval and Cavali, integrates their activities, creating MILA • December: Nasdaq acquires FTEN
