  24. Why Not Give to Other Para-Church Organizations Instead? • Sustainability – CP has been in continual existence since 1925 • Currently $500,000,000 is going to World Wide Mission Causes • Impact – The Church is the only God-Ordained avenue to reach the World Eph. 3:9-12 • CP does more over a wider area for Greater Impact

  25. Why don't we keep the money here in the church to use locally? • Go, therefore, and make disciples  of  all nations,  baptizing  them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,  I am with you always,  to the end of the age.” The Holy Bible : Holman Christian standard version. 2003 (Mt 28:19-20). Nashville: Holman Bible Publishers.

  27. What is the Impact of the Shortfall? • $313,980.60 less dollars went to Exec. Comm. Of SBC • $156,990.30 less dollars went to World Wide Missions • 4 Less Missionaries could have gone on the field to Share Christ • Each Missionary averages 91 people led to Christ each year – 364 people went to Hell

  28. What is the Impact here in CA? • $732,621.40 less stayed in CA to reach the 33,000,000 unsaved people who live here • How many more churches could we have helped get started? • How many more people could we have helped get trained in evangelism?

  29. What is the Impact here in CA? • How many more churches could have been helped to become more proactive? • How many more field missionaries could we have placed in CA to reach our multi-ethnic state? • What could have happened in YOUR town for Christ?

  30. What Can I Do? Pray • Pray regularly for your Southern Baptist missionaries in your state and around the globe. “Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers.” Matthew 9:38 (HCSB)

  31. What Can I Do? Go • Be involved in some sort of missions endeavor. Talk with your pastor about the available opportunities. You are God’s missionary right where you live. “Go...and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19 (HCSB)

  32. What Can I Do? Give • Out of love for the Lord, give regularly to Him through your church. If you are not tithing, begin to do so and also discover the blessings of giving beyond the tithe. Encourage your church to increase its participation in Cooperative Program.
