  2. Welcome to galifrey! • In this lecture I will be talking on: • - The tools the Doctor uses • - The Doctor’s Companions • The Regenerations of The Doctor (1-11) - The Master Please ask questions after presentation

  3. The beginning • Doctor Who started in the 1960’s The Doctor is a time lord from a planet called Galifrey, and he is the last of his kind. He usually does travel alone, but he has a few companions to come along on his travels. He faces many enemies and monsters along the journey. Time Lords can Regenerate, meaning change their face. It’s a way for them to basically to cheat out of death. A time lord can only regenerate 13 times, which I like to call their “Regeneration Cycle.” After the 4th doctor passed the shows fame grew. A fan of “Doctor Who” is a “Whovian.” A quote from “Blink” to explain time: “People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff. “

  15. An Unlikely Enemy- The Master • a renegade Time Lord who desires to rule the universe. • Renegade means An outlaw; a rebel • He first appreare in 1971, just like the Doctor he can regenerate, but he has already went through his regeneration cycle.

  16. THE Doctor’s tools • The most common tools that the doctor uses is the Sonic Screwdriver, which opens anything exept wood. • The Tardis, which is short for Time, And, Relative, Dimension, In, Space, meaning it can travel in time and space. • Psychic Paper, it looks like a badge and it shows people what they want to see and it gets you into places.

  17. Sontarans Dalek monsters • There are monsters that he faces, such as the Dalek, Sontarans, Weeping Angels, and many more. • Do not be fooled by the weeping angels, when you turn away they either send you back in time to die, or snap your neck. • Info on weeping angel’s:, quote from episode “Blink”: Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck • Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They're creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy. • The Lonely Assassins, that's what they used to be called. No one quite knows where they came from, but they're as old as the Universe, or very nearly. And they have survived this long because they have the most perfect defence system ever evolved. They are Quantum Locked. They don't exist when they are being observed. The moment they are seen by any other living creature they freeze into rock. No choice, it's a fact of their biology. In the sight of any living thing, they literally turn into stone. And you can't kill a stone. Of course, a stone can't kill you either, but then you turn your head away. Then you blink. Then, oh yes, it can.” • Sally Sparrow: [to Larry, about a nearby statue] Don't take your eyes off that. • The Doctor: [on the DVD] That's why they cover their eyes. They're not weeping, they can't risk looking at each other. Their greatest asset is their greatest curse. They can never be seen. Loneliest creatures in the Universe. And I'm sorry. I am very, very sorry. It's up to you now. Weeping Angel
