Selection Process • Facing the difficult decision to choose one of many qualified applicants is a good problem to have.  • A careful analysis of the qualities each candidate brings to the position should be conducted by the hiring authority.  • It is important to carefully evaluate the most critical factors needed for the person in the position to be successful.

Does the individual have the judgment, personality, interpersonal skills, work ethic, and attitude to be successful in the institution? • Technical Skill: Does the applicant possess the necessary skill set to perform the function or major duties of the position? • Leadership (If appropriate)
