  2. Objectives Today we will explore the features of Discovery Education and MyAccess.

  3. Discovery Education Login to Discovery Education: Username: cnusd + student id # (example: cnusd123456) Password: Student’s initials + birthdate (example: Mf552004)

  4. What Do You See? • Choose a theme • Resource center • Blog • Games • Board builder • ASSIGNMENTS!!!

  5. Assignments Click on the assignment “Inventions (Boss of the Plains)”

  6. Inventions This is a writing assignment that may be submitted in Discovery Education, but today we will link to MyAccessto work on it. Scroll down to see Activity: As a table group, create a circle map to brainstorm key words that signal the text organization of chronological order.

  7. Video Clips Assignment Instructions: After watching the source videos, choose one of the inventions you learned about. Write a paragraph that describes one of those events in chronological order. • We will watch the first video clip together.

  8. Notice the following • Use the CC whenever it’s available. • The “Transcript” tab can take you back to the spot you need. • The “Details” tab gives background and reference information. • The “More to Explore” tab provides similar videos.

  9. MyAccess Link to MyAccess: When you are ready, follow the link to MyAccess and begin writing on the assignment titled "Inventions.“ http://www.myaccess.com/myaccess/do/log Show your family everything you’ve already learned about MyAccess.
