  3. Ordinal numbers • Ordinal numbers put events or things into a numerical ordering. • Cardinal numbers are for counting.

  4. Ordinal numbers • Ordinal numbers come BEFORE the noun that is to be placed in order. • Ordinal numbers have to agree with the noun as well. • Example: • The third house = la tercera casa • The sixth student = el sexto estudiante

  5. 1st and 3rd These 2 have a unique usage. When they are in the masculine and singular form ONLY, you would drop the –o when writing. Example The first boy = el primer chico The third book = el tercer libro
