HOMELESS OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE @ St Peter in MonumentFriday September 26th 7:00pm Saturday September 27th 8 am While this sign might not be true for you, it is for so many- there are 400+ Homeless teens in C/S. Join the MS & HS Youth Group for an enlightening night exploring the challenges faced by the homeless each day! As you live their life for just one night! STUDENTS BRING:Sleeping Bag/ Pillow/Coat/Hat/Gloves & roll of duct tape & boxesCOST----BRING SERVICE PROJECT ITEMS----pair of new socks, Granola bars, tooth brush/toothpaste (for service project) ALL ITEMS CAN BE PURCHASED AT DOLLAR STORE (DONATION) TOWEL- for Homeless Shelter (Gently used or new) WHAT NOT TO BRING: NO Sleeping pads, Cell Phones etc… or NO food to eat. its all about experiencing the life of being homeless.SCHEDULE7 pmOPENING PRAYER7pm Service Project for Marian House Out-Reach ProgramStudents will be fill zip lock bags with socks & granola bars toothbrush/tooth paste7:30pmGuest speakers8 pm Youth begin structure of their “homes” Type up the names of all the people who helped make the event happen& each “house” gets a name of someone for them to pray for & that they are also being prayed for! 9pm Soup Kitchen Experience (@ St Peter) Students line up as if at soup kitchen & receive a ½ PBJ sandwich 10 pm Game that looks at the plight of the homelessThen off to “sleep”6:45am wake up & debrief about event CLOSING PRAYER for the HOMELESS-- then tear down structures 8 am parents pick upQUESTIONS?
