Staff • Class Teachers: Class 1: Mrs Green TA: Mrs Higham Class 1A: Mrs Humphreys TA: Mrs Morgan & Mrs Wilkinson • Head: Mrs Loftus • Procedure for Concerns • Meet with class teacher after school • Meet with Senior Leader (Mrs Walsh) • Meet with Headteacher (Mrs Loftus) • Family Support Mrs Greer (attendance, illness, holiday request) • Office • Mrs Cantwell (Administrator Mon-Fri) • Mrs Roberts (Receptionists Mon-Wed) • Mrs Hall (Receptionists Thurs – Fri)

  3. School Times • Gates open at 8.45 and children are allowed to come into class quietly and prepare for the start of the day • Registration – 8.55am • Morning Playtime – 10.25am – 10.40am • Lunch – 12.00 noon – 1.00pm • School finishes – 2.55pm • Clubs 3.00pm - 4.00pm

  4. Attendance – Target 95% • Punctuality – Essential for progress & learning • Medical- Miss Mills.   5. Homework • Homework will be given out each Friday and will be expected back in on Monday. • Homework will include spellings and a maths challenge. • Home Reading – Essential! Please write a comment in the book each night.

  6. Reading • Reading books • Each child will be given a set day to read their book in school, books will be changed as the children progress. • Guided Reading takes place once a week in school with a teacher-led small group. • Opportunities will extend across all curriculum areas - reading partners with Yr6 children will begin next term and our reading corners are available continuously with a newly refurbished range of books.

  7. Topics RE • Families & Belonging Science • Ourselves • Light and Dark Geography • Local Environment History • Toys ICT • Basic skills using PC’s, I-Pads, Cameras, Videos

  8. Trips and Visitors • To enrich the curriculum, we are hoping to plan both a trip and visit from a professional linked to the topics. • Please feel free to approach us if you have any contacts that may enhance the learning of the children.
