  2. NAPIS Requirements • DADS has to participate in the NAPIS Program to receive NSIP funding. • # of NSIP Eligible Meals provided • Demographic information

  3. Provider Types • Common Providers- contract for both Title III (AAA) and Title XX (DADS) meals. • Non-Common Providers- contract with DADS for only Title XX Meals.

  4. Common ProvidersMust contact their Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for NAPIS reporting requirements.

  5. Non-Common Title XX ProvidersMust report the number of the other NSIP eligible individuals and the following demographic information to their DADS contract managers.

  6. Reporting Requirements

  7. Demographic Information • Number of males and females. • Number of individuals who live in a rural county. • Number of individuals living in poverty • * This also includes any missing information.

  8. Ethnicity/Race Information • Number of individuals by ethnicity. • Number of individuals by race. • *This also includes all missing information.

  9. All demographic information must be broken down by the number of ADLs and IADLs, & also by age.

  10. Demographic information must be broken down by the number of: • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). • Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) • *ADLs & IDALs must match.

  11. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) DefinitionThe inability to perform one or more of the following 6 ADLs without personal assistance

  12. ADL Activities • Bathing • Dressing • Exercise • Feeding & Eating • Toileting • Transfer & Ambulatory

  13. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) Definition The inability to perform one or more of the following 8 IADLs without personal assistance, or stand-by assistance, supervision or cues

  14. IADLs Activities • Meals preparation • Shopping • Assist with Medication • Managing money • Using telephone • Cleaning (heavy/light) • Escort

  15. Non-Common DADS Title XXmust not report individuals more than once per Federal Fiscal Year. October 1st – September 30th

  16. Non-Common Title XX contractors must report “Other Eligible” consumers on an Excel spreadsheet provided by DADS.
