  11. Programs within the COE will establish an interdisciplinary focus. This focus will be embedded throughout the scope and sequence of our programs. Interdisciplinary Focus

  12. Three strategies proposed to accomplish this focus will be to: • Implement a problem based learning approach that uses interdisciplinary Case Studies • Implement a Design Studio model with faculty across disciplines. • Cluster clinical experiences in settings that cut across programs Interdisciplinary Practice

  13. Programs within the COE will establish and support clinically-based programs in which content and pedagogy are woven around clinical experiences throughout preparation in coursework, laboratory-based experiences, and in school, agency, organization, and community-embedded practice. Clinically-Based Programs

  14. The core experience of the program is clinical practice • Student learning and positive client outcomes is the focus • Clinical preparation is integrated throughout every fact of the program in a dynamic way • Programs prepare innovators, collaborators, and problem solvers Design Principles for Clinically-based Programs
