    6. Preparation for the Major 9 Lower division courses: Economics 101 and 102 (1=GE) Management Information Systems 180 Business Communication (BA 290) Accounting 201 and 202 Legal Environment (FIN 240) Statistics 119 (=Math GE) Calculus (MATH 120)

    7. Preparation for the Major Equivalent classes from other schools may be counted to meet requirements Some AP exams also fulfill prep courses Each prep course must be completed with a C or better

    8. Transferring Courses Units may transfer up to some limits: No more than 70 units from community college Courses may be transferred by Articulation Petition Consult www.assist.org and www.sdsu.edu/tap

The Challenge of Reaching a 2.9 The average entering Freshman at SDSU has a high school GPA above 3.5 – this Fall the freshman average is 3.73 The average Freshman at SDSU has a 2.62 GPA after the first year (SP2010) At the end of the Sophomore year students raised to a 2.86 GPA (SP2010) – 74% were able to declare the major

What SDSU & CBA Will Expect Students are responsible for their academic record Students must use resources and services to maximize their success – Example – Career Services Survey Students should communicate openly with family about their academic record and progress Students must declare their major once they have completed their impaction criteria

    17. Student Rights & Responsibilities The student Code of Conduct contains a list of responsibilities that students must accept to be in good standing with the university. Refer to the SRR website for the complete code - www.sa.sdsu.edu/srr Aztec Nights offers many substance-free activities for students, including programs sponsored by the Associated Students, Health Promotions and Residential Education.
