  1. Remediation of soils contaminated with oil (petroleum or fuel oil) N ° 6Romina Gónzalez Q., Eva Soto A. Environmental Civil Engineer, Playa Ancha University. Chile General Objective Evaluate the technical feasibility, economic and environmental remediation of a soil contaminated with oil, by developing a methodology, so as to reduce the HTP (total petroleum hydrocarbons). Specific objectives Determine the magnitude and distribution of the oil spill No. 6 Identify and assess the presence of THP (total petroleum hydrocarbons) from contaminated soil. Select a technology for remediation of soils contaminated with oil. Designing a methodology for implementing the selected technology for remediation of soil contaminated with No. 6 oil. Implement the selected technology, a pilot scale, for soils contaminated with No. 6 oil. Power & Energy Workshop, The Science Behind Energy Assurance SEPARI, ONRG, ITC Valparaiso, 2009

  2. Methodology Power & Energy Workshop, The Science Behind Energy Assurance SEPARI, ONRG, ITC Valparaiso, 2009

  3. Results & Indicators • The performance of proposed remediation of soils contaminated with No. 6 oil, will provide a proposal to provide a solution and regularization of areas contaminated with No. 6 oil, implemented remediation techniques, and thereby reduce or eliminate, where possible, impacts causing environmental areas affected by oil spills.. •  Provide information that will help and encourage the development of policies and procedures for managing contaminated sites or related subject.
