  2. Auxiliary Staff Security Training Please read this Power Point and sign your security oath.

  3. Security Information! Do not open boxes of STAAR / TAKS materials If you are in a classroom for emergency services, please do not read or try to assist students in any way. When moving testing materials, with or without a student, do not open or read them. If you see, hear, or smell a cell phone on a student during a restroom / snack / drink break, immediately inform the campus coordinator.

  4. Be aware of your obligation to report any suspected violations of test security or confidentiality to the campus testing coordinator. Be aware that release or disclosure of confidential test items could result in prosecutionunder the Texas Education Code, Government Code, Administrative Code, and/or Penal Code. I understand that student information is confidential and that I am obligated to maintain and preserve the confidentiality of this information.

  7. TestSecurity Maintaining the security and confidentiality of the Texas state assessment program is crucial for ensuring valid test scores and providing standard and equal testing opportunities for all students.

  8. Testing Irregularities Each person participating in the testing program is directly responsible for reporting immediately to the campus or district testing coordinator any violation or suspected violation of test security or confidentiality. The district testing coordinator is directly responsible for reporting immediately to the Texas Education Agency all violations or suspected violations within his or her district. Failure to report to the appropriate authority that an individual has engaged in conduct that violates the security or confidentiality of a test violates 19 TAC §101.65(d)(7) and could result in sanctions.
