Clean room infraestructure • 30 m2 upgradable, class 100000, ISO 8 • Wedge bonding machinery (bonding machine, pull tester, …) • Manual probe station (Karlsus…) • Electronics laboratory (Agilent L4450A pattern generator, Scope Tektronics MSO 4104, LV PS, LCR, ,…) • Laser (1060 nm cwl, 1mW) • XYZ table (Newport Driver ESP 300,3 Precision translation stages UTS Series, resolution 0.1 μm) • ALIBAVA system for silicon strip sensor readout based on Beetle chips Barcelona, 7-8 May 2009

LHCb VELO upgrade • Test beam July 2009 • Test the 55x55 μm2 Timepix pixel geometry and asses its suitability for a future VELO detector • Integration of Timepix into CMS Beam Telescope • Test Beam August 2009 • Test some issues of the strip option: geometry + fast electronics • Integration Beetle into EUDET Telescope and wire bonding • Possible construction of a dedicated LHCb Test beam telescope • Irradiation programme • Irradiation Timepix/Medipix until breaking point (summer 09) • Later FPIX beyond 87 MRad Barcelona, 7-8 May 2009
