This program aims to create a platform for employers to post job opportunities and for students/trainees to express their interest. It promotes the exchange of valuable skills and experiences between employers and students/trainees. Employers can find enthusiastic and dedicated employees, while students/trainees can gain valuable work experience.

  1. Aims & Objectives • To create a Student / Trainee • exchange scheme

  2. The Process: • A ‘notice board’will be created on the new website • Employers searching for students / trainees will write details of the post/job on offer • Students / Trainees will post a notice of interest

  3. A complete & detailed job description • Description is to include duties & responsibilities involved • A list of specific skills required for the position • A brief description of the company • Contact details (email, telephone number etc) • Employers: • Student / Trainee • Curriculum Vitae • Field of interest

  4. Why Employ A Student / Trainee • Offering a traineeship means getting a valuable employee for a determined period • Trainees are enthusiastic and tend to work harder to prove themselves

  5. Employer’s Responsibilities • Allowance / Compensation • Provide work • Commitment for the duration of the working period • Work permits, visas and other paperwork • Help with finding accomodation

  6. Student’s / Trainee’s Responsibilities • Proof of student card (if student) • Commitment for the duration of the working period • Accomodation • Advanced understanding of the national language of the country they intend to work in or English

  7. Questionnaire: • Q1: should the programme be extended to students as well • A1: Yes - 80% No – 20% • Q2: if yes, to what level of their education? • A2: Final Year – 30% Final 2 Years – 40%

  8. Questionnaire: • Q3: Do you know of any companies that are already involved in such a scheme? • A3: Yes – 50% No – 50% • Q4: Are you willing to find such companies? • A4: Yes – 70% No – 30%
