  1. North Carolina ABC Distribution Center Graham B. Thompson Project Manager LB&B Associates Inc.

  2. General Information • Warehouse complex was constructed in 1984. • Approximately 200,000 square foot facility. • NC currently has approximately 1,700 listed items. • On any given day, the warehouse houses $40 million in inventory. • This amount is reflected upon the 435,000 cases in inventory. • Since 2002, shipments from the warehouse have grown by 24.2% or 843,836 cases.

  3. Monthly Shipments

  4. Continued… • The warehouse receives on average 16 tractor-trailer loads per day. • The warehouse inventory is close to being turned in a single month. • During the Christmas rush (OND) we are shipping an average of 20,000+ cases per day.

  5. LB&B Associates Inc. • Manages all aspects of the complex. • Security = 24/7 coverage • Administration – Data Processing and Order Entry • Warehouse – Shipping and Receiving • Transportation (Drivers) • Maintenance (Excluding the facility)

  6. Warehouse Storage • Over 60% of the warehouse is rack storage. • Most bulk items are stacked (3 high) on the floor and do not fit in the racks. • All racks have column protectors (Cleveland) on all uprights and on the ends… Safety and Stability!

  7. Innovations • The purchase of 2 shrink-wrap machines. • Mounted at the front of the warehouse close to the bay doors. • Saves on labor and cost. • Ensures stability of load and helps lower the cost of breakage.

  8. “GoGreen” - theme is what all companies are working towards. We at LB&B have tried to do just that in order to make the Chairman happy…
