This is because our bodies need the appropriate amount of calories to keep the metabolism running strong. Lower the calories too much and you'll run the risk of also lowering the metabolism! If not, then I highly recommend you avoid this type of dieting. Low carb diets are ineffective because you must get plenty of fiber in your diet, and fiber is healthy carbs (complex carbs).
