Library Student Student Learning Outcome • Be able to get on Delta College Library’s website and log on to the subscription online Databases on and off the campus • Understand the functions of the online databases • Be able to conduct a Boolean keyword search in Jstore and PowerSearch • Be able to find peer-reviewed, academic research articles • Be able to evaluate and cite the retrieved sources in MLA/CSE style

  4. Conduct an Effective Keyword Search • Identify keywords for the search • Use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to thread your keywords together • Limit your search to full-text articles and peer-reviewed publications

  5. Click on the title link to display the full-text article • Evaluate the source to see whether it is a research article • Word Count serves as a clue that this is too brief to be a research article
