  2. Aim The aim of this retrospective study is to determine the relapse rates in TB patients.

  5. Material and Method All patients were contacted by telephone, those who were not reached had letters sent by mail. Those who had no clinicalcomplaintor stabil x-rays were accepted as no relapse. 18 suspicious patients were evaluatedwithsmearswhich were negative. Some patients who repeatedlystatedthey had no complaints were unable to come to the dispensers. These patients familymembers were questioned and verified the patients goodhealth.

  14. Conclusion • İn thisstudy; • Fourİstanbul dispenserswith an averagetreatmentsuccess rate of 91.5% haveacceptablerelaps rates. With DOT relaps rates were found to be lower (although not statisticallysignificant) especially in previouslytreated patients.
