  2. Strategic Plan Themes • Theme 1: Educate the public about the need for aerospace power and its role in a strong national defense • Theme 2: Advocate aerospace power and a strong national defense • Theme 3: Support the USAF and the Air Force Family • Theme 4: Strengthen AFA field operations

Theme 4Strengthen AFA Field Operations • Theme 4 is about: • Assuring sound execution and administration of internal AFA activities • Holding chapters accountable for maintaining standards in the areas of: • Activity Planning • Program Execution • Financial Management • Administration • The goal is to insure that the Association’s activities and internal operations are conducted in a professional and ethical manner worthy of the membership’s support

  4. Theme 4Strengthen AFA Field Operations • Goal 1: Submit officer rosters by October 31st of each year. • Chapter Plan: Submit Roster by 10 Oct 05. • Goal 2: Submit annual operations plan and financial plan by Jan 1st of each year. • Chapter Plan: Submit plan and budget by 15 Nov 05.

Theme 4Strengthen AFA Field Operations • Goal 3: Conduct a chapter program each quarter. • Chapter Plan: • 1st Qtr: • Conduct annual Joe Kellogg Blue Suit Awards Banquet. • 2nd Qtr: • Host TX State AFA Spring Executive Council Meeting. • Arrange “membership strategy panel” for this meeting consisting of junior officers and enlisted personnel, Command Chiefs, ROTC/JROTC cadets. • Participate in San Antonio’s “Fiesta Flambeau” parade as part of Fiesta week. • 3rd Qtr: • Conduct annual Air Force Birthday Ball. • 4th Qtr: • Conduct annual Carleton and Charlotte Loos Civilian Awards Banquet.

  6. Theme 4Strengthen AFA Field Operations • Goal 4:Produce and distribute at least three quarterly newsletters. • Chapter Plan: Publish the Defender in the first, second, and fourth quarters

Theme 4Strengthen AFA Field Operations • Goal 7: Recruit new members totaling at least 1% of chapter strength per quarter. • Chapter Plan: • Execute a well planned, structured and energized membership campaign • Establish target of new members equaling 1% of total chapter membership as of 1 Jan 05
