  2. CONGRATULATIONS ! You have been selected as the next potential HRD for L’Oreal in UKRAINE ! Eastern Europe is a fast-growing business area and a key strategic country for the company. Until now, UKRAINE did not have an HR Department. What is at stake? We are in 2007. L’Oreal has decided to select and promote a high potential to launch HR in UKRAINE and you have been identified as one of our most promising talents. But of course, you are not the only one on the short list! You need to prove to the HRD for Europe and to the CEO of Ukraine that you are the most suitable candidate to take this new role and create the HR Department in the country. We have selected a number of facts and HR data to give you a global understanding of the business and HR context of L’Oreal in UKRAINE in 2007: Country culture, facts and figures Company KPIs: market, organisation and employee data Corporate data and HR insights What is expected from you? The HRD in charge of Europe and the CEO of UKRAINE need to be convinced that you have the best strategy and action plan for the two coming years. They will take a close look at the following HR data. You are not expected to cover each topic. (These are HR guidelines) : How does it work? You are expected to make choices and to defend your HR budget as well as your vision and strategy. Each budget is planned for the year to come (N+1) and the following year (N+2). Your strategy covers the next two years and can include a long-term approach over 3 to 5 years if this is relevant to your strategy. What are the key evaluation criteria? Why do you make such budget decisions? How you define your overall vision and strategy? Below is an overview of your HR budget for the current year in Ukraine. 1. You will need to start by completing the forecast for 2008 and 2009 2. L'Oréal will be closely following the subsidiary's development, and end 2008 will be launching the Luxury Products Division. Your future boss will be expecting his HRD to partner the business and contribute to the growth of the Ukrainian subsidiary.
