Important Dates and Information • Fun Run (Friday, August 30th) (Please sign-up to volunteer) • Parent -Teacher Conferences (Oct. 9th and 10th) Important Dates • ISTEP+ Testing • Applied Skills - March 3rd- March 12th • Multiple choice - April 28th – May 9th • IREAD March 17th – March 19th • Acuity Predictive Testing (3 times a year- September, November, Feb.) • Spring Music Program (March 13th - grades 1 and 3 – Grade3 7:30pm )

Eagle Elementary Information • New Policies: • When a parent comes to have lunch, students are allowed to ask only 1 friend to join. • ALL those who wish to have lunch or walk your child to class must have a valid background check on file. • Only students are allowed to attend recess. No siblings or parents. **2 color lanyards – yellow (classroom volunteer/workroom) red (lunch) • Classroom Parties: • October 11th and December 20th • Field Trips: Grades K, 2, and 4 (shortfall of transportation fund)

  6. Typical Weekly Schedule Math homework: HL will be assigned almost everyday. Redo Work Can redo an assignment for up to ½ point for each point missed.

  7. Everyday Math and 6 + 1 Writing • Homework almost every night • Assessment/grading is composed of: • Math boxes • Classwork • Skills Link • Online games • Game sheets • Home Link (Homework) • Unit Tests • Continuing the 6 + 1 Writing programthis year

  8. Reading Street • Students will read several stories throughout the week. • Students will read the ‘main’ selection story at home with an adult. This story incorporates the weekly skill. • Weekly test will test the skills over the week, not the weekly story. • Class work will be assigned to practice these skills • Homework will be graded to see mastery of skills • Fluency Folders • READING bookmark/slip: Will be stapled into your child’s assignment notebook every Monday and needs to be signed by Thursday • Technology component
