  2. currently approved means of dissemination: the UTEP Friday Bulletin, admin emails to chairs/directors, and a direct email list (that you can be added to by contacting Karla Ramirezat cetal@utep.edu) Spring 2014 Strategic Plan Task Force: chairs Cheryl Torsney and Louie Rodriguez solicit “SWOT” feedback from diverse groups of stakeholders (you can give them your feedback by March 15)

  3. some recent CETaLsuccesses and updates: New/enhanced pages/tools include: FAQ, SoTL, Peer Observation, Faculty Formative Feedback, etc. Assessment of longer-term impact (e.g., Fall Faculty Retreat) Co-sponsoring with other organizations; consulting with grants and individuals; piloting “Wisdom Wednesdays” Applications for CETaL Fellows due March 17 Digital Measures can now track/document SoTL, etc.

  4. as of January 2014, Digital Measures lets you designate(Boyer) scholarship type when you enter a publication

  5. piloted (for 17 CRNs) in February 2014 (under RESOURCES):Faculty Formative Feedback (FFF) Students give ratings (each on a 5-point scale) on: • the course • the instructor • their own effort Students indicate how much time they spend on the course each week outside of class. open-ended essay questions (each followed by “Please explain”): What things about this class most help you learn? What could this class do differently that would help you learn more? What are you doing that most helps you learn in this course? What could you do differently to learn more?
