ACAP ensures all eligible Soldiers transitioning from Active Duty service have the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to: • be competitive and successful in the global workforce through employment assistance (in collaboration with Department of Labor and other federal Agencies). • make informed decisions through benefits counseling (in collaboration with Veterans Administration). • ACAP fosters and promotes retention in all components. • It is ACAP’s commitment to: • prepare Soldiers for transition and reduce the number of stressors Soldiers experience during transition. • support the needs of deploying Soldiers, work to minimize conflict with unit schedules, account for Soldiers’ time and keep the command informed.
