EUROPLAT objectives • Define and promote innovative teaching methods. • Identify pedagogical resources and make them available to the network members. • Develop procedures to evaluate teaching methods and results. • Award a certification of teaching training for graduate students. • Extend jobs opportunities for psychology graduate students.

Propose symposia on teaching psychology at all international conferences on psychology so as to make researchers and professionals aware of teaching methodologies: ICP Berlin July 2008, Oslo 2009 • Establish an annual EUROPLAT Summer School for the pedagogical training of graduate students from all European countries. • Promote exchange of graduate students and professors among the universities of all member countries. • Organize in every member country an annual national meeting on psychology learning and teaching.

  9. Survey of undergraduate students about teaching methods employed in Paris Descartes : Make course structure clearer Deeper content More multimedia support Avoid classes that are a PowerPoint reading More on-line courses Better designed MCQ Make answers to exams questions available on-line

Training European graduate students to : • Promote active learning and critical thinking • Improve students’ capacity to make oral and poster presentations • Give access to the latest research on teaching methods and techniques • Use on-line, e-learning and other modern technologies • Teach large classes • Manage classes with students from different cultures
