  3. Bio I am going to be a Junior at Allen High School this next year. I am working at Del Rancho as a server. My interests include math and sciences along with a will to learn new things. I am the youngest in my family and have one sister. Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009

  4. Research You need to do research to find out what your interests are. You’ll need to do this, so that you can find out what job might suit you best.   5. Job Application A job application is fundamental for applying for a job. You will use job applications to show what job you are interested in. Whenever filling out an application remember to have all your information handy. Example form Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009

  6. Resume Resumes are used to show what qualifications that you have for the job you are applying for. A resume should be only one page with only necessary information. Any extra and the reader gets bored with you and that hurts your chances of getting a job there. Example resume Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009

  7. Cover Letter The point of a cover letter is to try to sell yourself to wherever you are applying. You give them your best contacts. Make you are polite when trying to sell yourself. This will go on top of your resume. Example Cover Letter Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009

  8. Reference Sheet A reference sheet is a sheet with people’s names and contacts that will speak about you. They can be from your past job or school teacher. Make sure they are someone that will speak well of you. Example Sheet Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009

  9. Interview Most jobs will require you to go through an interview before they hire you. Keep your cool in the interviewing room. You’ll need to dress appropriately for a job interview. For most food service industries you may not need to dress as formal, but for most jobs you’ll need to dress formal.   11. Letter of Resignation A letter of resignation should be short and to the point. Don’t insult anyone or be negative. You should put in a date that you will resign. Give your employer plenty of notice. Example Letter of Resignation Matthew Waidner July 9, 2009
