What are we learning today? • We are learning to: - explain why cell division is essential for living organisms - explain what happens when cell division occurs uncontrollably • Success criteria: - cell division essential for growth - cell division is essential for repair of damaged tissue e.g. broken bones and cuts - cancer occurs as a result of uncontrolled cell division

  7. You task • Choose an aspect of cell division - regeneration of tissue in Salamander - regeneration of tissue in starfish - wound healing - healing of broken bones - uncontrollable cell division • Investigate it and create a presentation, poster, information booklet
