Prioritization Scale Links= connections/integration with other sustainable areas/issues (e.g. economic (+1); growth (+1); education, health care & culture (+1) Difficulty= level of challenges facing agreement on policy and implementation including available funding source(s) (More=-3, Moderate=-2, Less=-1) Importance= to achieving a sustainable and livable Emerald Coast region by 2030 (Most=+3, Moderate=+2, Less=+1) Costs= scale of the investment of resources needed (High=-3, Medium=-2, Low=-1) Urgency=critical need to act now- (Most=+3, Moderate=+2, Less=+1) Benefits= level of short and long term benefits from investments (High=+3, Medium=+2, Low=+1) =Total is the sum of the scores of the preceding six criteria

  3. Example Policy Guideline: • Protect and preserve the unique natural qualities of our region with a viable, healthy, interconnected network of natural systems. (Priority score = +5.6)
