  2. Graduation/Credit Requirements • English (20) Four years • Math (15) Three years • Science (15) Three years • Social Studies (15) Three years must have US History • Foreign Language (10) Two years must be same language Grade 8 to Grade 9

  3. Competitive Colleges Will Require • 4 Years of English • 4 Years of Math • 3-4 Years of Foreign Language • 3-4 Years of Science • 3-4 Years of Social Studies Grade 8 to Grade 9

  4. Graduation/Credit Requirements • Physical Education (5) Two years and fulfillment of junior and senior PE requirement • Fine or Applied Arts (2.5) One Semester • Computer (2.5) One Semester Or pass a proficiency exam offered during mid-year/final exam periods by the end of sophomore year. Grade 8 to Grade 9

  5. Graduation/Credit Requirements • 110 Total Credits for Graduation Demonstrate Proficiency on MCAS English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science Tests. Grade 8 to Grade 9

  10. Grade 12 • English • Physical Education Requirement • 72 hours at a fitness facility • Play a high school sport • Take physical education • Semester Electives Grade 8 to Grade 9

  11. Timeline for Course Selection • March 13th – X2 portal will be open for course selection • March 28th X2 portal will be closed • Requests to change a selected course need to be completed by April 27th … after that date no guarantee the request can be changed Grade 8 to Grade 9

  13. Attendance Policy • Miss six classes in a term, you receive an “N” for no credit and credit will need to be made up • Attendance affects one’s eligibility to participate in extra-curricular activities Grade 8 to Grade 9

  14. Absences and Tardies • 6th absence in a term = loss of credit for that course or courses for that term • Tardy more than 10 minutes = absence • Tardy 3 x under 10 minutes = absence • Ineligible to play sports: 2Fs, 2Ns, 2Is Grade 8 to Grade 9
