Curriculum Framework Health Management and Social Care Elective Part Compulsory Part Select any 2 out of the 3 modules Personal Development, Social Care and Health Across the Lifespan Extended Study on Health Promotion and Health Maintenance Services Health and Social Care in the Local and the Global Contexts Extended Study on Community and Social Care Responding to the Needs in the Areas Services of Health (Care, Promotion and Maintenance) and Social Care Promotion and Maintenance of Current Issues of Health and Social Care Health and Social Care in the Community Health Promotion / Maintenance and Social Care in Action

Compulsory Part Topic 1 – Personal Development, Social Care and Health Across the Lifespan e.g. different perspectives of health, factors affecting health and well-being Topic 4 – Promotion and Maintenance of Health and Social Care in the Community e.g. healthy settings, risk assessment Topic 2 – Health and Social Care in the Local and the Global Contexts e.g. issues related to health and social care, development of the health and care industries Topic 5 – Health Promotion and Maintenance and Social Care in Action e.g. health and social service agencies, mental health Topic 3 – Responding to the Needs in the Areas of Health (Care, Promotion and Maintenance) and Social Care e.g. health promotion, health and social care policies

Elective Part Elective Module 2 Extended Study on Health Promotion and Health Maintenance Services e.g. investigation of an area of social service delivery, either based on a certain group of people in need, or on a particular form of service delivery Elective Module 1 Extended Study on Health Promotion and Health Maintenance Services e.g. examination of some current practices and approaches in the management of health and health care Elective Module 3 Current Issues of Health and Social Care e.g. with reference to the key topics in the compulsory part, students select a specific theme related to a current issue for detailed study at a wide range of levels

Learning and Teaching Experiential Learning • integrate and apply theories and skills through field learning • observe, explore, and study health and social care services in community context • reflect, design and carry out related projects to solve related problems Problem-based learning • in health and social care context to develop students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills
