  1. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 Reflection: On the piece of paper at your desk. A. write something that you learned about the Day of the Dead B. Write down a way that it is NOT like Halloween One or more way that if we to work with the Spanish class again, how could it have been more fun and would have made your more interested in participating.

  2. Art II “Little Shop of Horrors” Design a “plant” that is ½ inorganic object. ½ car ½ sunflower ½ shoe ½ rose ½ pencil ½ tree Make it funny or scary – but give it feeling.

  3. Art II – Create a scene that personifies animals or inorganic objects. Examples::: a. Skunks playing soccer b. A family of toothbrushes with arms and legs walking together. Due Wednesday: 1. Picture inside of a picture 2. plant/inanimate 3. animal/inanimate 4. plant/animal/inanimate in their own environment 5. Personification - above

  4. Art II Use the two combination pictures animal/inanimate plant/inanimate both in a picture that includes a background/environment for your creatures.

  5. Thursday, November, 5, 2009 Warm-Up Work with a partner and draw your partner’s hand pointing at you.

  6. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 Reflection: Using a piece of paper located behind this computer – or on your desk – trace your hand, cut it out, and on the fingers write things that your are thankful for. Put masking tape on the back and use it to make our turkey’s tail. The turkey is located on the cabinet to the right of the magazine cabinet.

  8. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 Reflection: Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. Write a short letter to a soldier. Please keep in mind that you are writing to the soldier, not to the government official making the decisions of what the soldier does.

(3.)What do you think is the best and worst part of being a graphic designer, and explain why or why you would not like to be a graphic artist.

Using the handout as a guide, write a sentence that contains each letter of the alphabet - a pangram. 3. Practice this until you have one sentence written as perfectly as possible without any mistakes. 4. Use letters to create logos.

Now you will think about the package that the product would come in, or the tag that would hang on it, the bag, etc…. Make a list of what information is needed on your package: Size, ingredients, colors, price, logo, slogan, flavors, etc….
