  3. What we don’t do We don’t offer Careers Advice. You can’t book an appointment with us. We don’t rewrite CVs

  4. How we do itThe Job Shop • Where? Ground floor, Student Centre : • Drop in service for any employability-related query • CV checking and job search support • Online resources • Focus on graduate job search, placement search and part time work search • Support in navigating the whole job application process- CV checking, application forms, mock interviews, assessment centre preparation

  5. How we do itCareer Gym • Where- 1st Floor, Student Life Centre • Employer Events and presentations • Career-focused workshops • Volunteering Drop in sessions • ELearning • Careers Fairs (various venues)

  6. CV Workshop in the Career Gym TODAY Mondays: 12:30pm to 1pm Wednesdays: 12pm to 12:30pm Fridays: 2pm to 2:30pm • This session will looking at the key expectations of employers: • What content should be in your CV? • How should it be formatted?

  9. Where are we going? Moving up the university league tables – aiming for 90% in work or study and 75% graduate employment. All students understand what they need to do from day 1 to secure a job No longer a need for separate employability sessions
