  4. School Day • 8:00 – 3:15 • If your child will be absent, call absent line 281-641-3019 with symptoms. • Parent Note: Unless you send a note, the absence will be unexcused after 2 days. • Lunch: 11:00 – 11:30 • Conference Period: 12:25 – 1:15 • 2:50 p.m. is the latest you may pick your child up “early”. (11:30 a.m. on Early Release Days.)

  5. For safety reasons, All visitors MUST sign in at the office and wear the badge that is provided.

  7. TRANSPORTATION • Send a note with your child if they are leaving early or have a change in transportation. • Write your child’s name on the Transportation Checklist. • Label all 5 Name Tags as directed on the board and leave here.

  8. Afternoon Pick Up • Students will not be dismissed from class after • 3 pm on normal school days • 11:30 am on early release days. • Students will be called to the office for early dismissal after being signed out by the parent. • Please send a note if the person picking up is not on student’s contact list. • Contact the office by 2 pm if there are changes to your child’s dismissal routine.

  10. No buses again this year There will be no bus service this year. However, there will be 2 car rider lines. If you child is a car rider, please pick up one car rider sign accordingly: If you live east of W. Lake Houston (the same side as the school), you will pick up your children in front of the school in the circle drive. If you live west of W. Lake Houston (across W. Lake Houston from the school), you will pick up your children by the cafeteria.

  11. Phone Numbers Please keep us updated on all phone numbers. We need them in case of an emergency.

  12. WATER Children may bring a water bottle for recess and/or P.E. The bottle MUST have a sports top to prevent spills The bottle MUST have your child’s name on it in permanent marker. No other drinks are allowed.

  13. Breakfast/Lunch • Breakfast: $1.30 • Lunch: $2.00 • Lunch Hotline: 281-641-5838 • We will be eating lunch on early release days!

  14. S N A C K • Healthy – not sugary • No candy or sweets • No hot chips or Cheetos • Easy to open • Not sticky, messy, or spill-prone

  15. Birthdays: Cafeteria Treats • If you plan to get ice cream treats for the class from the cafeteria, you MUST pick up an order form from the cafeteria to place your order TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. • No food items can be brought for distribution. • Pencils, stickers, erasers . . . for all students in class. • No distribution of invitations.

  16. Home Enjoyment Home Enjoyment Menus will be given on Mondays, or Tuesdays if Monday is a holiday, to be completed at your child's own pace. Please and have your child turn in completed activities on Friday.

  17. Daily Folder • Your child will have a daily folder. • It will have a daily conduct sheet. Please initial/sign weekly. • Please remove all completed work from the folder. • Please make sure your child brings the folder back to school every day.

  18. Behavior • Blue: Excellent • Green: Satisfactory • Yellow: Needs Improvement • Red: Unacceptable Each night your child’s daily folder will go home. Please be sure to look at the behavior chart and the color your child is on. Discuss any praises, or infractions that occurred throughout the day. Initial the folder EACH night and return to school with your child the following day.

  19. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ • Activity Fee: $25 to school for purchase of classroom consumables • Field trip money will be charged separately. Be sure to head to cafeteria for important PTO information!

  20. Note: Friday August 30th will be an early release day. Dismissal will start at 12:00.

  22. What Parents Can Do To Help: • Home Enjoyment help (Don’t do it for your child.) • Fuel for thought: • Healthy breakfast • Healthy snack (not sugary, sticky, or messy) • Healthy lunch • Water • School-proof clothing

  23. Box Tops Please remember to clip Box Tops and send in with your child!

  24. If you want/need to speak with your child’s teacher about a specific question or concern you may have regarding your child, please call or email her. Please remember our conference time is from 12:25 – 1:15 and we will respond during that time. • Thank you and we are all looking forward to a FABULOUS year!!!!!
